at LACE (Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions) SUNDAY : Fallen Fruit Banana Meditation & Artists Talk

LACE is proud to present Fallen Fruit Banana Meditation & Artists Talk, as a part of Fallen Fruit: United Fruit. This exhibition is the first solo show by the artists collective Fallen Fruit (David Burns, Matias Viegener and Austin Young) and currently on view at LACE through 27 September 2009.

Fallen Fruit members David Burns, Matias Viegener and Austin Young discuss the research behind United Fruit along with their ongoing project, The Colonial History of Fruit. The collective talks about the focus of their work with the locals and the way this initiative combines the particular history with the global reality of fruit.

The salon will begin at noon with a meditation leading participants through a range of concepts related to the banana, followed by a discussion at 1pm led by the artists.
