THE FLAMING LIPS @ Hollywood Forever Performing The 'Soft Bulletin' and 'Dark Side Of The Moon' in its Entirety - 6.14. & 6.15.

The Flaming Lips’ two-night stand at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery event is titled “Everyone You Know Some Day Will Die,” (which of course is from the lyrics in the 2002 hugely successful single “Do You Realize??)” and which is otherwise known as the official rock song of Oklahoma. The cemetery shows are set for June 14-15.

The Hollywood Forever Cemetery is famous for being the final resting place of numerous actors, musicians, composers, cinematographers, singers, writers and directors. Both Dee Dee Ramone and Johnny Ramone are buried at the cemetery. Hollywood Forever also includes gravestones for Cecil B. DeMille, Jayne Mansfield, Rudolph Valentino and Douglas Fairbanks.

The Flaming Lips will play their 1999 album The Soft Bulletin on Tuesday, June 14 followed by Wednesday’s performance of their take on Pink Floyd’s 1973 album 'Dark Side of the Moon' (both albums will be played in it's entirety). In 2009 the group released The Flaming Lips and Stardeath and White Dwarfs with Henry Rollins and Peaches Doing Dark Side of the Moon.
