An embarrassment of comic riches awaits at this week's Sarah Silverman and Friends show on Thursday night. Each month Sarah brings her special brand of stand up comedy to the intimate Largo stage, and with her, some of the best in the business. This month will see special guest musical comedy duo Garfunkel and Oates, and comic sweetheart Tig Notaro join the evening's fun. Plus, two comics are scheduled to appear that are so super special and exciting that we are not allowed to use their names. In the past, Sarah has surprised us with super duper guests such as Louis CK, Aziz Ansari, Gary Shandling etc., so you can trust us that you will not be disappointed.

Sunday at The HAMMER: Songwriting with Kate Micucci of Garfunkel and Oates

Singer/songwriter/actress Kate Micucci is half of the comedy band Garfunkel and Oates. She can be found around town building sand castles and playing her ukelele: she has a monthly show at the Steve Allen Theater, and her original songs can be heard on the TV series Scrubs. With Kate, students will write songs as quirky and charming as themselves.

The Hammer's collaborative writing workshop, presented with 826LA, is designed for groups of up to 20 students, ages 8-13. Reservations are encouraged and can be made by emailing workshops@826la.org or calling 310-305-8418. Walk-ins welcome.

Admission is FREE. Parking is available under the museum for $3 for 3 hours.
